Teaching

I retired in 2024, but continue to teach occasionally.

I have taught PHY101 (pre-med mechanics & thermo), PHY102 (pre-med E&M), PHY103 (intro mechanics), PHY104 (intro E&M), PHY105 (honors mechanics & relativity), PHY106 (honors E&M), PHY/EGR/MAT/COS191 (integrated intro physics for engineers), PHY111 (physics for poets), PHY115 (an updated 111), PHY208 (quantum mechanics), PHY209 (computational physics), PHY304 (advanced E&M), PHY305 (advanced QM), PHY 406 (high energy physics), and PHY529 (graduate high energy physics).

Inspired by Dan Marlow’s creation of a free, bare-bones, calculus-based intro mechanics textbook, I produced an intro E&M version used in PHY104 since 2021. See the Intro E&M with Calculus Textbook page.
